TWIX legal

Community and Conduct Rules

TWIX exists so that teachers and employers can find each other with accurate information and mutual respect.

Draft — pending legal review

Expected behaviour

  • be honest about what you offer and what you can do;
  • reply to serious enquiries, and say no clearly rather than disappearing;
  • keep other people's documents and contact details confidential;
  • keep communication professional and free of harassment or discrimination.

Reporting

Any listing, profile or message can be reported. Reports include a category and a short description, and are reviewed by a moderator. Reporting in bad faith to damage a competitor is itself a breach of these rules.

Enforcement ladder

  • warning and a request to correct;
  • removal of the listing, profile field or content;
  • removal from search results;
  • temporary account suspension;
  • permanent account closure;
  • referral to the authorities where legally required or appropriate.

Appeals

If you believe an action was taken in error, contact TWIX with your account details and an explanation. Decisions are reviewed by a second moderator where practical.

What TWIX cannot do

TWIX cannot arbitrate private employment disputes, enforce contracts, recover unpaid wages or determine whether a particular arrangement is lawful. For those matters, contact the Ministry of Employment and Labour or seek independent legal advice.

Draft status
